PITTSBURG -- Robert Lisle Fincher, 75, of Pittsburg died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 19, 1933, at McCune to James and Elsie (Morris) Fincher. He attended McCune schools and graduated from McCune High School in 1951.

On April 4, 1952, he married Bernieta McMillan at Parsons. She survives of the home.

Mr. Fincher worked for Bottenfield Beauty Supply for 35 years, retiring in 1995 as vice president and general manager.

He was a longtime member of College Heights United Methodist Church, where he served as a church trustee. He also was a member of Pittsburg Masonic Lodge No. 187; Kansas York Rite; Pittsburg Chapter No. 58 Royal Arch Masons, where he was past high priest; Montjoie Commandry No. 29 of Knights Templar; Mirza Shrine Temple, where he served as the current treasurer; Directors Staff, where he was the current secretary; the Order of Quetzalcoatl, where he served as secretary/treasurer; and past director of the Royal Order of Jesters Court No. 95; and the YMCA, where he was a board member and past president. He also was a founder and past board member of Help Now.

Other survivors include two sons, Mark Fincher and his wife, Ronda, of Pittsburg and Greg Fincher of Altamont; a brother, Jerry Fincher of Henderson, Nev.; five grandchildren, Carly Fincher, Dustin Fincher, Jake Fincher, Kyle Fincher and Kelly Fincher; and a great-grandson, Samson Fincher.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at College Heights United Methodist Church with the Rev Ken Butts officiating. Burial will be in McCune City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Brenner Mortuary. The Pittsburg Masonic Lodge No. 187 will give Masonic rites at 6:30 p.m. today. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the mortuary.
