CHETOPA — Lawrence H. “Larry” Campbell, 73, of Chetopa died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home. 

He was born Feb. 6, 1939, in Oswego to Lawrence and Nelma (Nash) Campbell. He was a graduate of Labette County Community High School in Altamont.

Through the years he worked as a driver for Ford Implement in Chetopa and had also worked as a self-employed mechanic and truck driver. He was a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ.

He married Sharon Garrison in Miami, Okla. 

Survivors include his wife and wonderful companion, Sharon Adkins of the home; a son, John Campbell and his wife, Robin, of Oronogo, Mo.; two daughters, Jane Hayward and her husband, Tony, of Oswego and Sherri Jackson and her husband, Gary, or Oronogo, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Debbie Cunningham of Chetopa; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, half sister and grandson.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today at Oswego Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their home located at 501 Plum Street, Apt. 24, in Chetopa.
