EDNA — Andrew Lloyd Simmons, 34, of Edna died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, in a vehicle accident.

He was born April 17, 1977, in Independence to Curtis G. and Cindy (Seller) Simmons. He grew up in Independence and graduated from Independence High School in 1995.

Mr. Simmons worked for Save-A-Lot, Lee's Cooling and Heating and most recently at Edna Diesel.

He married Heather Counsil on Sept. 30, 1995, in Independence. The couple made their home in Independence until moving to Edna in 2003.

Survivors include his wife, Heather, of the home; five children, Marion Zev Simmons, Zaid Keith Simmons, Zoltan Joseph Simmons, Xzaydrea Kay Simmons and Zaxophelious Eton Simmons, all of the home; his parents, Curtis and Cindy Simmons of Edna; a brother, L.G. Simmons and his wife, Wendi, of Edna; his grandmother, Kay Seller of Parsons; his grandmother in law, Luella Lovelace of Independence, his grandmother in law, Gwen White of Neodhesah, his grandfather in law, Marvin Crigger of Lonton; two sisters in law, jennifer Wilson and her husband, Matthew of Chanute, and Desirea Packard and her husband, Mike, of Independence; 10 nieces and nephews, Hayley Simmons, Wyatt Simmons, Lane Curtis Simmons, Lilly Grace Simmons, Triston Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Shelby Wilson, Malachi Packard, Michelle Rehl and Dillon Packard.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Xzyrabelle Kelli Ann Simmons; and grandparents, Cotton Seller, Marion and Melva Simmons; and a nephew, Logan Simmons.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Assembly of God Church in Independence with the Rev. Terry Tolleson officiating. Burial will follow in the Edna Cemetery.

Potts Chapel of Independence is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests memorials to the Simmons Children Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
