Clyde Russell Towles, 85, of Parsons died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at his home.
He was born June 27, 1926, at Parsons a son of Earl Clay and Nellie G. (Russell) Towles. He was raised at Parsons and attended school here. He then enlisted in the United States Navy. Following his discharge, he worked as a machinist for Gates Rubber Co. in Denver. He later retired.
He married Eleanor Andrews. They later divorced.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Pacheco and Judy Paseka, both of Aurora, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Danny Towles of Bella Vista, Ark., and Eddie Towles of Massachusetts.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Marcia Cameron and Susie DeHerrea; a brother, Wally Towles; and a sister, Dorthy Blackburn.
Cremation will take place and no service is scheduled.
