Ronald Allen Jump, 44, of Parsons died at 1:22 p. m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at the Wesley Medical Center at Wichita with his family by his side.
He was born June 7, 1967, at Neodesha, a son of Larry Wayne and Gayle Ann (Velia) Jump. He grew up and attended schools at St. Paul. After high school he moved to Parsons and worked as a millwright for various construction companies.
He married Patty Johnson on April 20, 1991, at Parsons. They later divorced.
He was a Christian. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and auto races, especially Nascar.
Survivors include a son, Keagan Jump of Parsons; a daughter, Kelsey Jump of Parsons; his father and stepmother, Larry and Carolyn Jump of Independence; a brother, Larry D. Jump of Pittsburg; a sister, Lisa Jump of Pittsburg; a half brother, Chris Fleming of Florida; two stepsisters, Leann Linn of Independence and Shellie Campbell of Champlin, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gayle Ann Velia.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
