Richard Edward Uphaus, 65, of Parsons died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul.

He was born on Jan. 3, 1947, in Seneca to August and Rose Elizabeth (Ronnebaum) Uphaus. He grew up in Seneca.

Survivors include five brothers, Leonard Uphaus of LaVerne, John Uphaus of Wichita, Donald Uphaus of Seneca, Robert Uphaus of Topeka and Kenneth Uphaus of Leavenworth.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. Burial will be in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Seneca. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
