He was born on Oct. 29, 1935, at Coffeyville to Elmer and Marie (Englund) Titus. He was raised at Coffeyville and moved to Derby with his family in 1950. He graduated from Derby High School in 1953.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he was employed as a counter salesman at American Electric Wholesale at Parsons and Pittsburg and later worked at Mid America Electric at Parsons.
On Aug. 25, 1967, he married Ellen Atherton at Dennis United Methodist Church. She survives of the home.
His hobbies included camping, fishing and raising goats.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son and daughter in-law, Kenneth “Kenny” and Carrie Titus of Dennis; a daughter, Kim Caulkins, and her companion, Dale Shrum, of Cherryvale; eight grandchildren, Alesha Robb of Dennis, Jeremy Caulkins, and his wife, Tara, of Cherryvale, Kayla Robb of Charlotte, N.C., Seth Caulkins of Bartlesville, Okla., Anthony Robb of Altamont, Mandy Forkner of Crescent City, Calif., and Blake Morgan and Sierra Titus, both of Dennis; three sisters, Carole Gonzalez of Haysville, Mary Russell and her husband, Everett, of Fort Peck, Mont., and Marilyn Dockins, and her husband, Royce, of Udall; two sisters in-law, Mary Jane Titus of Douglass and Judy Titus of Peck; a great-grandson, Juan Robb of Charlotte, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and Duane Titus; and a daughter, Robyn Titus on Dec. 2, 2001.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery with military honors given by Brown-Bishop Post No. 704, Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
