OSWEGO — Oswego High School basketball teams split with Uniontown here Tuesday night.

The girls won in big fashion, and the boys lost by 10 points.

In the boys’ game, Oswego lost 55-45 after a poor offensive presence in the first and third quarters.

The Indians were down 12-4 after a quarter and fought back to a 24-20 score at halftime. Oswego’s offense was silent again in the third quarter, getting outscored 14-6.

In the fourth quarter, Oswego battled back in big fashion, with Tag Oldham scoring nine of the team’s 19 points in the final stanza, including a trey, but the point spread was too much for the Indians to overcome.

Oldham had a team-high 17 points. The only other player in double figures was Weston Eckermann with 10, hitting two treys.

SYDNEY PEMBERTON scored 26 points for the Lady Indians in their 52-30 thrashing of Uniontown.

The game was knotted at 10 after a quarter, but Oswego hit the gas after that and rolled to a 23-12 lead after the first half and built on that in the second half.

Pemberton had a double-double on the night with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Jaymie Nesbitt scored 11 points, and Bricynn Barger had seven for the Lady Indians.

In the girls’ JV game, Oswego lost 23-11. Kaelyn Yeoman scored nine points for Oswego.

Oswego teams are off until next week’s tournament at Southeast High School in Cherokee.
