She was born in Parsons on April 30, 1925, to Maurice and Faye (Wells) Dorman. She graduated from Erie High School.
She married Howard Lee hart on Nov. 20, 1941, at Independence. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2000.
She received a practical nursing diploma from Neosho County Junior College in 1979 and worked at Mercy Hospital in Independence until her retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Wheeler of Parsons and Rita Cloke of Thayer; a son, Larry Hart of Independence; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Christian Church, 908 E. Fourth, Cherryvale. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery, north of Parsons. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Potts Chapel, Cherryvale, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas and can be left at the funeral home.
