He was born on Dec. 29, 1940, in Trinidad, Colo., to Steven Albert and Inez (Vandervo) Douglas. He was raised in Lenapah, Okla., and South Coffeyville, Okla. He attended the Lenapah school system.
On June 23, 1962, he married Mary Ellen Taylor in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.
He was a security officer at Sherwin Williams Co., Coffeyville.
Other survivors include a daughter, Debbie Sue; a son, Johnny Lee Douglas; two brothers, John Douglas and Charlie Douglas; a daughter; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Douglas.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Potts Chapel in Cherryvale. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
