Willis Thompson Jr., 64, of Parsons died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born on March 12, 1947, at Chetopa to Willis Thompson Sr. and Emma Dora (Doan) Thompson.

He worked at Ernesto’s for a time.

Survivors include his companion, Christina Whittley of the home; two sons, Willis Thompson III of Parsons and Eron Jones of Independence; two daughters, Becky Thompson of Pennsylvania and Bobbi Jo Steig of Cherryvale; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; five brothers, Jackie Smith of Indiana, Carl Greenfeather of Jay, Okla., Roy Greenfeather of Washington and twin brothers, Carmon Thompson and Eddie Thompson, both of Parsons; and two sisters, Fay Meadows of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Doris Kellogg of Parsons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alex James Greenfeather; and a sister, Janie Greenfeather.

Following cremation, the memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
