FARLINGTON — Robert L. “Bob” Westhoff, 58, of Farlington died in the emergency room of Via Christi Medical Center in Pittsburg at 4:52 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011.

He was born on July 23, 1953, at Greenbush to Sylvester and Celia (Sevart) Westhoff. He graduated from St. Paul High School.

He was self-employed as a large equipment mechanic throughout his adult life.

He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Michael “Zach” Westhoff of McCune; a daughter, Andrea Westhoff of St. Paul; six brothers, Charles Westhoff and his wife, Betty, of St. Paul, Howard Westhoff and his wife, Barb, of Parsons, John Westhoff and his wife, Mickie, of Drexel, Mo., James Westhoff and his wife, Wilma, of Chanute, Raymond Westhoff and his wife, Candy, of Girard and Harold Westhoff and his wife, Tina, of St. Paul; and five sisters, Sylvia McKinney and her husband, Jerry, of Parsons, Mary Frances Jones and her husband, Richard, of Bentonville, Ark., Virginia Noose and her husband, Joe, of Columbia, Mo., Ruthie Snodgrass and her husband, Virgil, of Asbury, Mo., and Alice Shaffer and her husband, Jess, of McCune.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Loretta Nance.

The funeral Mass will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. Visitation will follow the rosary. Carson-Wall Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call there on Thursday until 5 p.m., when the casket will be moved to the church.
