She was born on Sept. 21, 1912, at Pomeroy, Wash., to Thomas E. and Olive E. (Gregory) Douglas. She grew up and attended schools at Urich, Mo., graduating from high school in 1931.
On April 16, 1931, she married Otho W. Willcockson at Garden City, Mo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1979.
The Willcocksons lived in Borger, Texas, and in 1937 moved to San Francisco, where she was employed at Western Women’s Club for three years. In 1940, they returned to Urich and in 1941 moved to Kansas City, Mo. They moved to Parsons in 1945.
Mrs. Willcockson was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Parsons. In earlier years, she was a Girl Scout leader. She worked at Anderson Men’s Wear for several years.
For 11 years, she took the shopping cart to the residents of the Presbyterian Manor, a service sponsored by Church Women United. For this she earned a Special Volunteer Award from the Manor.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jeffrey Bair of Emporia; a granddaughter, Kendra Barton and her husband, Corey, of Frisco, Texas; and two great-granddaughters.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home at their convenience. The casket will remain closed.
