OSWEGO — Daphna B. Green, 83, of Oswego died at 11:16 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Oswego Community Hospital after a short illness.

She was born on July 22, 1928, in Sherman to Roy Jack and Shirley Elizabeth (Cook) Watson.

Daphna was devoted to her family and worked hard to show them love, affection and support. She never forgot a birthday or an anniversary. She worked for a time as a seamstress at Glenn Berry Manufacturing in Oswego. Daphna loved to watch the birds in her flower garden and tend to the many plants in her garden and her home. She crocheted many beautiful items for family and friends.

Daphna married the love of her life, Noble E. Green, on Sept. 8, 1945, in Oswego. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Noble Lee Green and his wife, Jennie, of Oswego; a daughter, Beth Wells and her husband, Warren, of Pittsburg; four grandchildren, Rachael Green and Eban Green, both of Oswego, Shannon Tow of Lenexa and Nathan Wells and his wife, Lisa, of Pittsburg; and five great-grandchildren, Andrew Tow, Ella Tow and Eden Tow, all of Lenexa, and Hailey McCann and Jacob Wells, both of Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jack Marlet Watson, in 1947.

The graveside service will be at noon on Friday at Oswego Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Hays officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Derfelt Funeral Home in Oswego.

The family suggests memorials to Oswego Christian Church.
