LOUISBURG — Geraldine Lamm, 87, of Vintage Park in Louisburg, formerly of Parsons, passed sway Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at North Point in Paola, under the care of Odyssey Hospice.

She was born March 23, 1924, in Dennis a daughter of Floyd and Edna Hild. Geraldine was raised in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale High School.

She was married in 1946 and taught school in a one-room school house. Geraldine was a lifelong member of the Parsons Wesley United Methodist Church and later in life the Louisburg UMC. She was a Sunday school teacher, was in charge of the church funeral dinners and a member of the church bell choir. Geraldine volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at the Labette Health gift shop as a "pink lady." She enjoyed bowling, cross-stitching and crocheting. Geraldine was a homemaker most of her life and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Survivors include a daughter, Patti Cochran; two sons, Mike and Doug Lamm; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanne Allen.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; daughter, Kristi Colburn; a brother, Wayne Hild; and a sister, Carrie Lou Beebe.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Louisburg UMC followed by a graveside service at 4 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont.
