CHERRYVALE — Darren Ray Manley, 51, of Cherryvale died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at Mercy Hospital, Independence.

He was born on Aug. 17, 1960, in Coffeyville to Darrel L. and Norma L. (Epperson) Manley. He attended South Coffeyville, Okla., schools before graduating from Lenapah (Okla.) High School in 1978.

He married Brenda Wooldridge in 1979. They later divorced.

He married LeAnn Fought on July 4, 2008. She survives of the home.

He worked at Coffeyville Resources for 30 years.

Other survivors include his parents, Darrel and Norma Manley of South Coffeyville, Okla.; a son, Derrick Manley of South Coffeyville; a daughter, Amanda Tubbs of Talequah, Okla.; a stepson, Adam Grove of Independence; a stepdaughter, Megan Grove of Cherryvale; two brothers, Kevin Manley and Matthew Manley, both of South Coffeyville; and two stepgrandsons.

Following cremation, the service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Potts Chapel, Cherryvale.

Memorials are suggested to disaster relief in Joplin and may be left at the funeral home.
