VERSAILLES, Mo. — Donald Wright Lietzke, 97, of Versailles, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.

He was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Parsons to Ferdinand Crawford and Nell (Wright) Lietzke. He graduated from Parsons High School.

On Oct. 6, 1933, he married Juanita Witten Hunter. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Lietzke worked for the Katy Railroad, retiring in 1975.

Survivors include four sons, Jack Lietzke of Lincoln, Mo., Ferdinand Lietzke of High Point, Mo., Joe Lietzke of Versailles, Mo., and Steve Lietzke of Goodyear, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Bernadine Bennett Miller; two stepbrothers; and a stepsister.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. A graveside service and interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to New Revival Center of Versailles and sent in care of the funeral home.
