SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Lois "Myrle" Cary, 96, of Springfield, Mo., died in the early morning of Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at a nursing home in Springfield, Mo.

She was born Aug. 16, 1915, to Stephen Franklin Cooper and Daisy Mae (Rhodes) Cooper.

She married Ralph "Pete" Cary on April 14, 1946. He preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 2010.

Survivors include a son, Walter Cary of Springfield, Mo.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.

Others preceding her in death include a grandson, Jonathan Cary, in 1978; her parents; and seven siblings.

She was buried with her husband at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
