KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Shirley Mae Davis, 83, of Kansas City, Kan., died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011.
She was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Girard.
Mrs. Davis was an Avon representative, a floral designer at Mickey's Florist and a bridal consultant at J.C. Penney before retiring.
She was a member of Merriam Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Russell Eugene Davis; two sons, Rick Davis and his wife, Peggy, of Kansas City, Kan., Jeff Davis and his wife, Barbara, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; a daughter, Debbie McAdam and her husband, Keith, of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Gary, Gregory, Angela, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Amy, Megan, Kevin and Brian; four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Ian, Nathan and Lily; and a sister, Jean Newbery of Parsons.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Porter Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan. Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
