WEBB CITY, Mo. — Dorothy Anna Lacy, 92, of Webb City, Mo., formerly of Girard, died at 3:39 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, in Joplin.

She was born Feb. 16, 1919, in Texas to Chauncey Hughes and Gladyne Rebecca (Williams) Hill. She attended schools in Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School in 1939.

She married Carl E. “Pete” Lacy in 1952. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1985.

She worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons for a time.

Survivors include her daughter, Becky Martino of Webb City, Mo.; a stepson, Dave Lacy of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; a grandson; three stepgrandchildren; and her brother, Ron Hill of Parsons,

She was preceded in death by a brother, Hal Hill; and her sisters Mary Schubert and Helen Murphy.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg.

Memorials are suggested to the SEK Humane Society and/or the First Christian Church of Girard, these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
