She was born Sept. 18, 1924, in Columbus to Marvin and Frances (Jones) Canfield. She grew up in Pittsburg, where she graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1941 and continued her education at Coffeyville Community College.
Survivors include her brother, Frank J. Canfield of Corsicana, Texas; her children, Mary Rose of Fort Collins, Colo., Laura Myers of Greeley, Colo., Marti Schoen of Davis, Calif., and John S. Walton of Florissant, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Friendship Friends Cemetery near Hallowell. The Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons is in charge of arrangements.
