Louis Conger Jr., 59, of Parsons died at 8:56 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, in the emergency room at Labette Health.

He was born June 27, 1949, at Parsons to Louis and Adell (Mamie) Conger Jr. He grew up at Parsons and attended Douglass School.

He enjoyed a colorful and exciting life within the Parsons community.

He is survived by three brothers, Tommy Conger and James Randell, both of Independence, and Curtis Dunn of Parsons; a sister, Cleo Golston, and her husband, Vernell, of Parsons; several nieces and nephews; and his family at Southeast Kansas Independent Living.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Hightower.

The service will be at 2 p.m. today at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience.
