COEUR D' ALENE, Idaho — Veva M. (Arnall) Ellis, 81, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, died Saturday, June 11, 2011.

She was born on June 17, 1929, in Parsons to William F. and Beatrice (Piatt) Arnall.

She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne “Bill” Ellis, on June 8, 1946. They had the good fortune to celebrate 64 years together before her death.

They began married life in California, where they raised their family. In 1972, they purchased Carl’s Market in Petaluma, Calif. They owned and operated it for 20 years. In retirement, they moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to be close to family.

Survivors include her husband of the home; her daughters, Clista Ellis, Trudy Whittenburg and her husband, Randy; her three grandchildren, Robert Christiansen, Heather Lindquist and her husband, Steven, and Wesley Whittenburg; and her brother, Daryold Arnall of Missouri.

A memorial for friends and family will be between 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday at the family home.
