GALENA — Michael W. Dennis, 52, of Galena died at 11:57 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, at St. John's Medical Center in Springfield, Mo., from complications because of injuries he suffered in the May 22 tornado in Joplin while a patient at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
He was born April 7, 1959, in Parsons to Wayne and Shirley (Cowley) Dennis. He lived in the Columbus and Baxter Springs areas most of his life. He was disabled and never worked. He enjoyed comic books and PlayStation.
Survivors include his uncles and cousins.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary in Joplin. No public service is planned. Burial will be in Parsons at a later date.
