WELLINGTON — Sharon L. Callahan, 49, of Wellington, formerly of Parsons, died Monday, June 6, 2011, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

She was born April 24, 1962, in Wellington to Albert and Leola (Perry) Frost.

She was employed in the medical field and was most recently a certified medication aide with Sterling House.

Survivors include three daughters, Amy Wood of Topeka, Cari Martin of Wellington and Emily Wood of Parsons; a son, Timothy Wood of Wellington; six grandchildren; her mother, Leola Frost of Wellington; a brother, Roger Frost of Manhattan; and a sister, Karen Durant of Overland Park; former husband, Craig Callahan and his children, Lindsay Callahan-Gomez, Todd Callahan and Abbey Callahan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Frost; and a sister, Teresa Porter.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Wellington. Burial will be in Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Day Funeral and Crematory in Wellington, where family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
