MOUNT VERNON, Mo. — Agnes M. Duncan, 90, of Mount Vernon, Mo., formerly of Chetopa, died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Lawrence County Manor in Mount Vernon.

She was born March 10, 1921, in Welch, Okla., to William and Elsie (Bryant) Ingram. 

She married Perry Lee Duncan on Dec. 23, 1939, in Farlington. In 1949, the coupled moved from Wichita to Chetopa where they owned and operated Duncan Greenhouse and Flower Shop for 30 years. Mr. Duncan preceded her in death May 23, 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond D. Duncan of Mount Vernon and William P. Duncan of Olathe; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alma Sprouse of Chetopa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church in Chetopa.
