DENISON, Texas — Margaret E. Harvey, 101, a longtime resident of Denison, Texas, died at 7 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2011, at the home of her daughter, Carolyn Lilley, in Branson, Mo.
She was born Oct. 29, 1909, in Sherman, Texas, to Ora J. and Maggie Belden. She attended Sherman schools and graduated from Austin College in 1932.
In 1934 she married Marion Dain Harvey. He preceded her in death after 64 years of marriage.
Mrs. Harvey was a member and an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Denison.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Lilley of Brandon, Mo., formerly of Parsons; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Danna Harvey of Houston and Mike and Karen Harvey of Fairhope, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Joanna Drennan and her husband, Dave, of Denison, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Harvey.
The service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Denison.
