He was born on May 23, 1939, in Barnard to Fulton and Lois Bro. He was a 1960 graduate of Grant High School in Grant, N.M.
He worked at Doans Animal Feed Store in Joplin.
He married Patsy Cooper. They later divorced.
He married Norma Price. They later divorced.
On April 4, 1987, he married Judith Ann Parks. She preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 2007.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Lynn Ryan of Oklahoma and Crystal Jean Bro of Kansas; four brothers; and a sister.
He also was preceded in death by his parents.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Cherryvale. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home after 10 a.m. today until service time on Friday.
