H. Dean Reed, 88, of Parsons died at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Elmhaven West nursing home. His wife, Doris Reed, preceded him in death on April 15, 2011.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church in Parsons. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Labette Emergency Assistance Center or the American Alzheimer’s Association.

Carson-Wall Funeral Home will announce further obituary details later.
