Judy L. Manues, 47, of Parsons died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Her fiance was with her when she passed away.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1964, at El Centro, Calif., to Lynwood A. and Junella F. (Mitchell) Manues. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Arizona and Arkansas, where she attended school. During her high school years, she moved to Parsons, where she graduated from Parsons High School. She was a cheerleader during high school. She also attended Labette Community College for a time.

Judy loved children and enjoyed decorating for the various holidays, especially Christmas.

Survivors include a son, Kalen McRay of rural Parsons; a daughter, Meagan Larson of Grove, Okla.; three grandchildren, Gavynn Larson, Grant Ramirez and Kaison McRay; her mother, Junella Manues of Parsons; her fiance, Patrick Furrow of the home; and two brothers, Rickey Manues and Barton Manues, both of Parsons.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. Following the service, the body will be cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
