GIRARD — Donald Bruce Bauder, 70, of Girard died Thursday, April 21, 2011, at his home in Girard.
He was born Jan. 16, 1941, in Girard to Eugene and Claudene (Kennedy) Bauder.
He married Sherry LaForge on Nov. 23, 1963. She survives of the home.
Mr. Bauder worked for Zatties Bakery as a young man and then began a career in printing at VaCoHy in Girard from 1963 to 1968, after which he began work at Sun Graphics in Parsons. He worked at Sun Graphics until 2009.
Through the years, he enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Spring River with family and friends, fishing and hunting. He loved photography and doing pencil etchings.
He was a member of Girard Masonic Lodge Chapter 93, the Girard American Legion Post No. 26 and SAL.
Survivors include three daughters, Shelly Bauder-Childers, Nancy Lemieux and her husband, Troy, and Kristie Bauder and her husband, Tim Milburn, all of Girard; 13 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a younger brother, Rick Bauder of Mulberry; and a host of nieces and nephews.
No public service is planned. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorials to the Big Flag Fund of the Girard American Legion Post No. 26. These may be left at the funeral home.
