DENNIS — Edna J. “Jackie” Purcell, 73, of Dennis died at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Elmhaven West.

She was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Girard to Robert and Edna Lucille (Murdock) Miller. She attended school at Chicopee and Cherokee. She was employed in the food service industry and had worked as a waitress and restaurant manager.

She was engaged to William A. Cary.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Kukovich of Clark, Pampanga, Philippines, Stan Kukovich of Sugar Creek, Mo., and Hugh David Reno of Linwood; three daughters, Helen Reid-Gottsleben of Yankton, S.D., Eddy Holaday-Grove of Mokena, Ill., and Paulette Lewis of Rochelle, Ill.; nine grandchildren; five brothers, Robert Jake Miller, Leroy Miller, Charlie Miller, all of Pittsburg, William Miller of Weir and Melvin Miller of Opolis; and a sister, Dora Katherine Parr of Pittsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Following cremation a graveside memorial service will be at North Edna Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Center of Kansas. These may be left at or mailed to the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, 67357.
