Ridgway Westin “Ridge” Blackburn, was born into the arms of angels at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Labette Health.

Survivors include parents Jeremy and Amanda (Foss) Blackburn of the home in rural Parsons; a brother, Rilan Blackburn of the home; paternal grandparents, Kent Blackburn of Dennis, Karen Cripe of Delwein, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Craig and Janice Foss of Hollister, Mo.; paternal great-grandparents, Ray Johnston and Marvin and Lavon Blackburn, all of Parsons; maternal great-grandparents, Pete and Faye Furnas of Parsons; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Valley Cemetery near Lake Parsons.

Memorials are suggested to the Rilan Blackburn Educational Fund or the “Awana Group” at the First Baptist Church in Altamont. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, 67357.
