Mildred G. Bowman, 96, died on Friday, April 1, 2011, in Parsons.

She was born Oct. 25, 1914, in Valhalla, Mo.

Mrs. Bowman was a retired teacher, having taught for 32 years. In 1999 she moved to Parsons Presbyterian Manor to be closer to her only child, Ralph E. Bowman of Erie.

She was a member of First Christian Church, Chapter BS of P.E.O. Sisterhood and AARP.

Other survivors are a grandson, Christopher M. Bowman, a great-granddaughter, Danielle Eve Bowman, and a great-grandson, Caleb Ethan Bowman, all of Des Moines, Iowa.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw, Mo. Reser Funeral Home of Warsaw, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests no flowers, but memorials to First Christian Church of Parsons.
