Dennis L. Pochop, 52, of Parsons, a Parsons State Hospital and Training Center resident, died at 12:09 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, at Labette Health in Parsons.

He was born on Nov. 5, 1958, at Anchorage, Alaska, to Charles Louis and Ann Marie (Choatil) Pochop. He entered the Kansas Neurological Institute in 1963 and then became a resident of the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center in 1995.

Survivors include his father, Charles Pochop II of Merced, Calif.; his brother, Charles Pochop III of Merced, Calif.; three sisters, Diana Bordi of Morgan Hill, Calif., Anglea Koch of Gilroy, Calif., and Barbara Pochop of Bremerton, Wash.; several nieces and nephews; and his Parsons State Hospital and Training Center family.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

The service will be at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center Holly Cottage at a later date. Carson-Wall Funeral Home, Parsons, is in charge of arrangements.
