She was born on April 22, 1927, to Pearl and Wright Collins. She graduated from Parsons High School in 1945.
She married Gene Wilson on Nov. 11, 1945. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1985.
She retired from Hughes Aircraft in California as an inspector. She lived in Midway City, Calif., from 1957 to 2005.
Survivors include her children, Janey Baker and Sandy Holsinger, both of Tulsa, Beverly McBride, Mike Wilson and Teresa Wilson, all of Midway City, Calif., and Overilla Chavez of Sarasota, Fla.; a brother, J.C. Mapel and his wife, Aurelia, of Olathe; a sister, Inez Root and her husband, Charles, of Parsons; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Others preceding her in death include her parents; a stepfather, John Mapel; three brothers; a grandson; and a great-grandson.
The funeral and burial was on Friday in California. Add’Vantage Funeral Service, Tulsa, is in charge of arrangements.
