She was born Aug. 15, 1920, to Arnold and Hazel (Gilliland) Morelan in Chanute. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1939.
On Sept. 3, 1939, she married Donal Tallman in Humboldt. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She was a homemaker for much of her life but was also a foster parent for 10 years and taught at Tri-State Faith Center in Parsons for several years as well.
Survivors include a son, Donald Tallman of Parsons; four daughters, Marquetta Gowing and Vickey Brandal, both of Joplin, Glenda Huff of Neodesha and Edwinna Brantley of Gilbert, Ariz.; two brothers, John C. Morelan of Eagle, Mich., and Kieth Morelan of Springtown, Ark.; a sister, Maxine Staley of Hiawatha; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold; and three great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Southern Baptist Church in Neodesha with Pastor Dallas Martin officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Mound Valley.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Loran Fawcett Chapel, 704 Indiana, Neodesha.
