GALESBURG — Lola E. Green, 72, of rural Galesburg died at 1:56 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the Labette Health.

She was born at Granby, Mo., to Otis B. and Georgia (Kee) Cargile. She graduated from high school at Gravette, Ark.

She worked various jobs over the years, including as a waitress at several restaurants.

She married Lowell Dale Wolverton. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1981. She married James W. “Jim” Green Jr. on June 13, 1984, at Riverside Park in Independence. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include four sons, Lynn Wolverton of Winfield, Lary Wolverton of Pittsburg, Lance Wolverton of Buffalo and Leslie Wolverton of Galena, Mo.; a daughter, Lora Banning of Independence; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Delvin Cargile of Port Angeles, Wash., and Toby Cargile of Independence; and a sister, Janice Turner of Independence.

Following cremation a memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Galesburg United Methodist Church. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Independence.
