FORT SCOTT — Thelma Francine Belknap, 95, of Fort Scott died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home.

She was born July 31, 1915, in Chetopa to Madison F. and Edna E. (Balay) Warwick.

She married James H. Belknap Sr. in July 1935. He preceded her in death Nov. 29, 1943.

Survived include a daughter, Sue DeMent; two sons, Jim Belknap and Bob Belknap, both of Fort Scott; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Lee Handshy of Webb City, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Oswego Cemetery in Oswego. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon today at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
