She was born on June 15, 1942, in Parsons to George Elmo and Lola Irene (Massey) Hammett.
She retired after 25 years from American Airlines.
Survivors include a daughter, Catherine Elaine Bruce Garrison, and her husband, Douglas Clint Garrison, of Webb City, Mo.; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Michael Hammett of Avondale, Ariz., and William “Bill” Hammett of Pacific, Mo.
There was a private family service.
