She was born in Winfield on Aug. 4, 1921, to Charles and Beulah (Brooks) Smith.
Marge retired from the University of Kansas Medical Center after 22 years as an EEG technician.
She enjoyed playing sports and reading, but most of all spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include seven children, Jean Morrow and her husband, Jim, Terry Bunch and his wife, Cyndi, James Lee Dawson and his wife, Pat, Kathy Clark and her husband, Randy, Lani Benton, Cheryl Taylor and Cindy Sallee; seven grandchildren: Kelly Bunch, Megan Bunch, Andy Snook, Heidi Jordan and her husband, Steve, Andy Morrow and his wife, Tiffany, Marc Morrow and his wife, Monica, and Scott Morrow and his wife, Jill; 11 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ryan, Chance, Shelbi, Stephen, Tom, Riley, Nick, Hailey, Ava and Taylor; and three brothers, Wayne Smith, Gale Smith and John Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Dawson; two sisters, Pauline Smith and Wanda Jean Smith; and three brothers, Dean Smith, Carl Smith and Jim Smith.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westside Free Will Baptist Church, Wichita. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita.
Memorials are suggested to the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, Wichita.
