OVERLAND PARK -- Berietha Earnestine Seals, 88, formally of rural Edna, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Overland Park Medical Center.
She was born June 20, 1920, in Weimer, Okla., to Fred and Lula (Stepp) Taylor. She attended Edna High School.
She married John Seals. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1966.
She worked as a cook for Ideal Schools for 26 years before retiring.
Survivors include a son, George Seals of Welch, Okla.; two daughters, Rosanna Snider of Miami, Okla., and Tandy Ross of Overland Park; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Lavena Longwith of Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Thomas Funeral Home in Welch, Okla. The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Edna. Interment will be at North Edna Cemetery in Edna.
