He was born March 9, 1922, to George and Ruby Young. He was a World War II Army veteran. He is a retired radio/T.V. repairman.
He married Deloris I. Herrell on June 22, 1942. She survives.
Other survivors include five daughters, Cheryl Huddleston of Parsons, Janis Johnston, Linda Wheeler, Janet Martin and Debra Wilkins; a sister, Luanna Keesee; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Eastwood Church of Christ in Hutchinson. A military burial will take place at the Peace Creek Cemetery in rural Stafford, Colo.
Memorials may be made to the Eastwood Church of Christ or Maude Carpenter Place in Wichita, and these may be left at or sent to Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, 67501.
