Patricia Kay Myers, 59, lifelong resident of Parsons, died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at her home. She had been in failing health.

She was born Jan. 25, 1951, in Parsons to Delbert F. and Beaulah M. (Wilson) Carter. She grew up in Parsons where she attended elementary school and later attended Labette County Community High School in Altamont.

She worked at various jobs over the years, including 32nd Street Quick Stop.

She married John “Randy” Myers on Oct. 3, 1980, in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Misty Chalker, Cristina Cruse and Megan Lynch, all of Parsons; a stepson, Christopher Myers of Parsons; two stepdaughters, Michelle Kurzrock of Nashville, Tenn., and Cecilia Thurmond of Joplin; 12 grandchildren; and a brother, Jack Carter of Granbury, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Morgan Myers.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
