LCC to host volleyball camp
Labette Community College volleyball coach Marissa Jordan will hold two skills training camps at the LCC gymnasium next week. Coach Jordan will be the instructor for each camp. The Parsons Babe Ruth 15-year-old baseball team won their District tourney Sunday for a spot in the 15-year-old state tournament. The team defeated Pittsburg 7-3 on Saturday to advance to the finals of the district. Four Parsons Wrestling Club grapplers traveled to Topeka to wrestle in the Sunflower State Games this weekend. Quinten Heady took first in the Takedown Tournament and second in the Folkstyle Tourney. His record for the day was 6-1 with four of those wins coming by pinfall.
