LCC names Phillips new wrestling coach
The Labette Community College athletic department will soon have two coaches named Ryan Phillips. Labette Community College has named Ryan Phillips as its new head wrestling coach for the Cardinals. The Labette Community College softball team improved to 6-0 in the Jayhawk East with a sweep over Neosho County on Tuesday. In the first game, Labette beat Neosho County 6-0. The Labette Community College baseball team got the bats going in a big way on Monday. The Cardinals scored 29 runs in two games as they swept a doubleheader from visiting Evangel. Two members of the Labette Community College men’s basketball team were listed on the 2012-13 All Jayhawk East Team. Anthony Elechi was a second team all-league selection. The 6-8 freshman averaged 11 points and eight rebounds per game. LCC sophomore point guard Eddie Williams was an honorable mention team all-Jayhawk East pick.
