The Lady Grizzlies have now won 46 Southeast Kansas League games in a row.
The two they added to the streak Thursday might have been the biggest yet.
Labette County High School improved to 18-0 overall and 14-0 in the Southeast Kansas League by defeating Parsons 8-0 in game one and 3-1 in 10 innings in game two Thursday at the Forest Park softball fields.

The Parsons High School baseball team improved to 5-9 on the season and 5-7 within the Southeast Kansas League thanks to a two-game sweep of Labette County High School (8-9 overall, 6-7 SEK) Thursday in Marvel Park.

Vikings, Indians compete in Oz Wednesday
The Parsons and St. Paul high school swimming teams competed in the Osawatomie Invitational on Wednesday.
Among the finishes, the Vikings effort in the 400 freestyle relay stood out thanks to a state-qualifying time of 4:18.20.
Swimmers Shannon Dunlay, Reagan Argo, Sydney Markley and Victoria Port competed in the event for Parsons, and the team took second only to host Osawatomie.

Parsons Disc Golf hosting Calvin Priest Memorial tourney Saturday
The Parsons Disc Golf club will host the fourth annual Calvin Priest Memorial Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday.
Play will start at Idle Hour Lake in Altamont once again with an afternoon session at the Parsons Arboretum taking place.
Registration for the event will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Idle Hour Lake shelter house.

Lady Cardinals land 10 on KJCCC East team
The Labette Community College softball team landed two members on the all-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Eastern Division first team and had 10 total members make the postseason squad.

Vikings host swimming tourney
The Parsons High School swimming team hosted St. Paul High School for a dual swimming event at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center pool Tuesday afternoon.
The Vikings set eight season- best times and one swimmer qualified for the state tourney in late May.
Senior Reagan Argo had a personal best in the 50 freestyle. The time was good enough to earn Argo a trip to Topeka May 17-19 for the Class 5-1A swimming and diving championships.

Harrison wins tourney on Bone Creek
Glenn Harrison sat atop a largemouth slugfest on Bone Creek Lake in Arma recently as District 58 of the American Bass Anglers in Southeast Kansas held its third tournament for the 2012 season on Saturday.

BAXTER SPRINGS — The Erie High School track team traveled to the Baxter Springs Invitational this week.
Chris Bohrer led the team with a first-place finish in the javelin throw. Erie also took second in the girls’ javelin throw, thanks to a toss from Emmalee Mitchell.

The Labette Community College softball team advanced to the round of four in the NJCAAA Region VI Division II District D tourney with a two-game sweep over Kansas City Kansas Community College (24-26 overall) on Saturday in Parsons.
