Chetopa starts season 2-0
By Anthony Cook Sports Editor It’s hard to say what’s more impressive about Chetopa’s 76-26 victory over Southwest Christian Friday evening. Was it the Hornets overcoming a double-digit loss to the same team a season ago and winning by 50 this year? Or was it that they weren’t all that sharp in doing it? “It’s funny we really didn’t play well,” said Chetopa head coach Sean Price. “We didn’t run well. We are poor in that right not.” Price added...

Week 2 football about finding out team’s identity
The A-Game By Anthony Cook Sports Editor In high school football, week one never makes for a good view. The football is ugly first and foremost. Referees earn their checks in the first September game more so than any time throughout the year. Laundry is littered across the field. It’s also nice and hot. And for one of the two teams it doesn’t go as planned. Maybe later in the season there are, but in the opening game there’s no moral victory....
