Parsons Wrestling Club news
The Parsons Wrestling Club was back in action Saturday at the Anderson Brown Memorial Wrestling Tournament in Coffeyville. This was the first opportunity to check the progress of the whole PWC team. The club placed 19 out of 24 wrestlers who competed. The team finished with a record of 45-25 during the tourney. Ashleigh Woodworth and Erin Duncan of the Parsons Dolphins Swim Team competed in the 2010 Midwest Level 1 Championships in Topeka over the weekend at the Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka. Vikings blow out Iola after slow start
IOLA — Despite a rough first half, the Parsons Vikings came out ahead in Iola to remain unbeaten for the season. The Vikings went up 8-0 to start the game, but the Mustangs went on their own 8-0 run in the quarter. The teams were tied at 11 going into the second quarter, which again was a back-and-forth battle.
