PITTSBURG — The Parsons High School varsity volleyball team went 0-3 on Thursday at Pittsburg. “At times we looked decent, but what really hurts us is our passing,” PHS Coach Hillary Lott said. “And when your passing isn’t there than not much else is. ERIE — Erie High School hosted a varsity volleyball quad on Thursday against Riverton, Southeast, and Baxter Springs.  Erie won the first match 25-6 and 25-4. Bret McGuire recorded 13 aces, and Chelsea Oliphant recorded four aces.  Lindsay Francis recorded five kills and four assists in the contest.  EHS then fell to Southeast 25-23, 17-25, 19-25.  McGuire had three aces and seven kills.  Oliphant recorded 10 kills and five digs.  Francis re...

CANEY — Parsons and Labette County both competed at Thursday’s Caney Invitational girls golf tournament. Labette County’s Erica Gartner finished fifth overall with a score of 95 (48-47).
